Our story

We started because we needed it too

In South Korea, Islam (이슬람교) is a minority religion. The Muslim community is centered mostly in Seoul, and mosques have been built around the country. According to the Korea Muslim Federation, about 100,000 Muslims, both Koreans and foreigners, live in South Korea.

As the Muslim population grows, so does the demand for halal products. Finding them is a real challenge, because the communities around Seoul are spread out and very diverse. We know this first-hand: we ourselves struggled to find halal food in Korea.

Most Muslims in South Korea are foreigners who are here to work, study or travel. Most of them are too busy to search the city for halal groceries. With this in mind, we started Albazaar Korea.

Albazaar Korea is an online shop that helps Muslims in South Korea live better in a foreign country. Living costs here are not low, so cooking at home is always a good idea: you know the food is halal, and you know it is healthy. That is why we offer halal meat and groceries, and we will soon add many more kinds of products.

Our main goal is to build a friendly community and help people eat halal food, no matter how busy they are. Albazaar brings the halal market right to your doorstep.
